This morning, we got up after far too few hours of sleep (two). With the TV team busy dealing with practicalities around the documentary, we got the day off and my dad gave me the tour of (part of the) city.

It was fun to catch up on Oslo, especially since my grandmother comes from Oslo and my dad lived here for better part of his youth.

Today, we mostly went shopping (and in cases like these wonderful but oh so expensive traditional Norwegian “bunads”, only window shopping…), I hope for good weather in the weekend so that we can visit all the places I’ve heard about for many years, but haven’t seen or simply don’t remember. The few things from Oslo that I do remember will probably surprise me greatly, because I was very small at the time when my grandparents lived here, and my perspective has changed with about 110cm…

We ended the outing with coffee & wienerbröd, and then headed back to the hotel for a meeting.
