After Akershus, my dad’s friend took us to NRK, where he works. The primary reason however was not touristic, but to continue tracing my Norwegian roots.
Having logged in as official visitors, we stepped into the studio where my dad went twice a week as a child, singing for the boy choir Sølvguttene.
There were lots of old memories on the wall, but also new discoveries, such as the Gullplate award for the choir’s 1969 Christmas album that my father was part of.
Here you have him, on the wall. Arne Victor Garvi. Under my pink arrow!
We were also given the grand tour, stepping into studios-
… as well as sightseeing backstage.
It was both fun and interesting!
We ended our excursion with a Swedish “fika”. Mine consisted of a tuna sandwich and a double coffee latte. I am still full!
