I have absolutely no idea where all the days go, but disappear, they do!
I must admit that I am a bit confused in my mind, for although I just came back to Sweden, I am not settling in this time. I arrived a little more than two weeks ago and will be leaving in a week, which is strange. There is little time to catch up with everyone and to do all the things that normally need to be done, and that is not good, since I expect to be gone for a very long time. I should have been to see the dentist for example (who knows what they will find next time I have the opportunity to get my teeth checked?) but when I first thought about it (which was Friday…), I already knew it was too late. As a consolation, I am considering going to the hairdresser for a change as my hair needs trimming, but my own haircuts have done well enough for the past seven months, so maybe I’ll just save the cash and continue to go by my own inspiration instead… I did get some shopping done today, as I took the opportunity to go with my brother and his family to Gekås - one of the biggest shopping malls in Europe. It is a place I have been working every summer since 2001, so this year is going to be different in more ways than one. Although the season was wrong, I found some t-shirts and tops that will come well in handy in Niger. If there is one thing I normally run out of, then it is (chocolate) and t-shirts. You’d be surprised how quickly the Nigerien heat and dust wears them out! Now, the whole idea with having a number of different t-shirts is to be able to match them with a nice colorful African fabric. Too much pattern eats me up, but a merge between Africa and Scandinavia is perfect, and the African tissues are so colorful and alive!
