I offered you my all
And I think my heart went to live with you
For it now speaks a language only you two understand
It talks of things I do not know by name
And comes to realizations that I cannot explain
It breaks into a song to which I know no tunes
But which I wish so desperately I could sing
For it is the most powerful piece I have ever heard
I am touched by things I do not see
I am moved by things I have not heard
I feel left out, but I know my heart has found its home
I do not regret giving you my all
For it has added a new dimension to my soul
I only wish at times that I could follow
For where my heart is, there is peace and unity
There is joy and understanding
There is fulfillment
But where my heart has gone,
I cannot follow
My time has not come yet
In the mean time, I will do what I can to follow my heart’s desire
To do justice to the flame that burns within
A flame I cannot explain
A flame I cannot possess
A flame you lit in me
And one day, I will understand it all
That is enough for me.

I hope you do not mind that I copied your poetry and put it on my blog in a June 30, 2008 post. I gave credit to you and included your New Year’s Eve photo. Now even more people will check out your blog: my sons and daughters-in-law. It’s at http://www.patandjerry.com.
You are a fabulous writer.
