This weekend will be truly Scandinavian tempoed, because my sister is coming on Tuesday (for a five week long visit!) and there are a couple of things I really want to have done by then. One project, that I’ve been keeping to these past siestas, has been to paint the pool borders white, but once I did that, the contrast between the pool and the rest of the wall was so great, that I will probably end up painting the rest of the veranda as well.
When Anette was by herself for a month, I came back to a house that looked like this: suberly neat and tidy. I couldn’t even figure out how she had managed to move so much furniture all by herself! As for the house right now, let’s just say it wouldn’t be to my advantage to post a picture right now, but I have had way too little time on my hands to deal with the frequent dust storms that seem to want nothing else but take over the entire house!
Once the cleaning is done, I’m sure to be riding out for one of those treat rides in the bush!

I love your pictures and your love for Niger!!! I hope you’ll be getting rain soon if you haven’t already. It rained here last night. Are you in touch with the Sowing Seeds of Change in the Sahel folks in Maradi?
