One of the things I dislike about the drivers of the other aid projects that have settled in our neighborhood is that they drive recklessly on a sand alley where kids see the street as an extension to the garden.

Coming back from work the other day, I found Munir in front of my gate, doing his homework, and to me, that was such a charming incident that I had to take a picture of it!

Munir did not mind at all, because being taken picture of is an honor, rarely bestowed on children.

A “cabo-cabo” driver (motorcycle taxi man) stopped when he saw the scene, for he could not make out what I found so spectacular that I esteemed the situation worthy of the attention of my camera! I am not sure he really understood it, but once he’d seen that the scene was for real, he drove away with a large smile on his face. I love those situations!
