A favourite breakfast over at Ishtar’s ark right now is sorghum porridge.
Porridge in itself is a very Swedish thing, but the thing is both my sister and I prefer sorghum porridge to any other porridge we’ve ever had.
That together with a cup of coffee and some vitamin C (whether that be Eden fruits or oranges) is the perfect start of the day for me! Here’s the recipe for all you sorghum-lovers out there!
Ishtar’s Sorghum Porridge Recipe
3dl of sorghum flour
1 dl of dried green raisins (any dried fruit will do if you don’t want to add sugar)
cinnamon
a touch of salt
water
Mix all ingredients together and cook until the porridge is ready. Serve with milk; and if you want to be a 100% Ishtarish, add a cup of coffee and some fruit! Then enjoy your day!

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackIt sounds delicious, and similar to the way I make oatmeal (with raisins and cinnamon). I add walnuts and yoghurt after it’s cooked. I’ll have to look for sorghum in the store.
That really looks delicious & nutritious!
