I was also wondering about the rose... but this linking problem happened to me before so I kind of guessed what the problem was: the whole URL includes the word "goat" in parentheses. It takes you to an article about a man who married a Sudanese goat. Still, I wonder what it has to do with you walking the goat?

I remember a story in one of the Tintin series where the scientist Calculus thought people were calling him a goat. One of the phrases was "walking the goat", so I decided to look the phrase up in Google, and – it seems you're not alone with putting a goat on a leash! :-)

@Szavanna: It's a typical 'quality moment', isn't it?

@Pat: I love having kids interact with animals, they learn so much!

@JKE: My Nigerien neighbours also find the scene amusing. It makes them smile and shake their heads in disbelief. But I have yet to figure out if that is because I take the goats out for a walk, or because Esmeralda follows me like a dog. In any case, the scene is amusing, and both the goats, their owner(s), little friends of the owners as well as the people in the neighbourhood love it!

@O: Thanks!

@Karin: Yes, I take the goats out for walks (although not as often as I think they would like). The good thing is that you only have to bring Esmeralda, and Amadeus will just tag along.
