Two Sundays ago, we drove 20 km east to a little town called Mirriah.
It is one of those amazing places with an impressive Baobab forest that is several centuries old.
As we were getting out of the car, heavy clouds were approaching, letting us know that rain was on its way!
My sister: “Look at that! It looks like it might rain!”
My brother: “I really think it’s going to rain…”
My father: “That looks like a definitive yes.”
Well, someone had prepared for both sun and rain!
Well, the heavy clouds were still in the background, and so we had plenty of time to sit down on a palm trunk and have a picnic. It’s a family tradition!
Tabita: “Are you ticklish, my little sister?”
Priscilla: “Yey! Keep doing that!”
Anyway, the company was good!
And so was the food!
My sister-in-law had baked cakes,
and here is me promoting her lemon cake, even though the other one was a chocolate cake! Well, to be honest, I may as well have promoted both of them…
Then we were off exploring-
I finally understood how my brother gets good arm muscles without working out!
Lovely little lady!
As the sky kept fairly clear, we had time for a game of boccia.
My brother playing with one arm and holding his daughter with the other…
Me without a baby (and good thing so, for I am afraid that had I had a baby on my arm while shooting, we would have tipped over!)
People found came to watch…
My sister had great technique!
But in the end, it was my brother and the baby who won!
After playing for an hour, it was time to head home.
The downpour came later in the evening, so we got to enjoy a beautiful sunset on our way back!
