No one is a good tourist in their own home country, so for those who want to know all the odd things there are to know about Sweden, should check out Joy’s blog Home and away, which even for a Swede is very, very cool! Joy takes as much an interest in Swedish life as I take in Nigerien, and I love being reminded of Swedish salmon, knäckebröd, the Gränna island etc…
For those of you who want to know what I take pictures of in those rare moments when I remember to take out my camera, here are a few shots from yesterday, when the sun was actually shining!
As a contrast to Niger, even during its rainy season, Sweden is completely green - and I must add, very beautiful at this time of year.
Flowers!
The dogs look a bit different - I wonder what Dennis Mugu would say if we brought home one of these?
I’ve been taking things easy since arriving… A little bit of work, a lot of resting and good food!
It’s amazing how pampered you feel when you don’t have to do the cooking yourself!
This little lady was disappointed that there were no left-overs coming her way…
I’m leaving for Falun today and should have lots of pictures to post when I come back!

That poodle is really cute. She wouldn’t stay white for very long in Zinder, I’d bet.
Heheh, thanks for the link
Oh your lunch looks great and simple. It’s something I could eat right now! (Plus, I love those spiral pasta. I always use them even if the recipe requires something else.) And meatballs… how Swedish is that, huh?
