Arwen foaled yesterday! It’s was a perfect delivery with everything going by the book. Anette had the ungrateful task of keeping Arwen from stepping on her own placenta before it had been complete expelled, but that disagreing part will quickly be forgotten when the result is a perfect little filly with beautiful lines!
Arwen is the perfect mother, tender and wise. I think she’s going to love this new role in life - having a little someone to look after and cherish! So will we!
Not yet 24 hours old but taking it all in! The world must seem huge to her…

Isolde yar’Arwen. Her Hausa epitet (daughter of Arwen) may change with time as her personality develops, but right now there is no way of saying if she will be fast, gentle, determined or simply content. We will just have to discover!
Arwen with her little jewel. I sense a very proud mother here! And some very happy humans… We are so grateful that everything went well!

@Hanna: You’re right she looks like she’s made of rubber, but they have to be that soft in order to fit in there and to get out without hurting their mother. Even the hoofs are soft, but that will change within short!
@Karin: I may have to fight for the little one when I get down, because I have a feeling that it’s being adopted by a number of people already!
