@Karin: Thanks!

@Stefan: Hei! I'm glad you found your way to my blog, lots of people do, but few dare to post a comment! ;-) Thanks for your warm words!

@Pat: Thanks! People ask about her all the time, and I can only say that I am so glad for all the time we spent together. I come from a tight family with lots of love and interaction. I can thank Africa for having brought us so close to one another, and now that my mother out of reach, I can treasure the fond memories that I have of her, and be proud of her achievements in Niger, as well as work to ensure that her legacy lives on.

I meant also to say that I am so sad for your loss of your mother at such a relatively young age, and my heart goes out to you, too.

Hei Esther! I am an old friend of your father and your family. And because I had not heard from Arne Victor for so long I tried to trace up someone else from the Garvi´s. I came across your website - and since I knew you from our Tunis time I was pretty amazed to see a grown up lady. It moved my heart to read the news about your mom. I remember her so well. Can´t find the right words. But my heart goes out to you and your family!

My mother died April 15, 2003 at the age of 85. Every now and then I still have a dream where I'm thinking, "I haven't talked to my mom in such a long time. I should call her." And then I wake up and I remember sadly why I can't call her.
