Anette and I were at the bank the other day when the following clouds came speeding towards us.

Hot season is the time of heat, humidity and sandstorms. Sometimes the sandstorms prelude early May showers, but most often not.

As the storm approaches, the light grows exceedingly bright.

And then, red imposes itself as the sun is maneuvered to the side.

Sand and dust come pouring in, and within minutes, the view is gloomy and yellowish gray.

This was Anette’s first sandstorm. From the comforts of the car, it was an fascinating experience!

Visibility was next to nothing, but we were only a few blocks away from the office and knew our way.
