There are few things as life qualitish as waking up with sufficient energy when it’s still dark and then head for a morning ride before work, catching the sunrise along the way.
It doesn’t happen often (at least not as often as I wish it did!) but when it does, it’s a spectacular moment, merging Niger’s lovely nature, West Africa skywatching and a complete union with my barb mare as we then speed across the plains. I know of no better way to kick off the day!

I enjoy the pre-dawn mornings as well. The quietness, the stillness, the coolness, the freshness, and even the mystery of the visibly unknown combine to create a feeling of pure connection with the world while also giving oneself a feeling of distance, of just being.
