Miss Uku and her bone
The puppies are seven weeks old today and have been growing more and more independent every day!

Miss Uku & her brother Mr Bakwai

Mr Shida (right) keeps an open eye while the rest of his siblings sleep

Playing is a favourite activity these days,

…and the puppies are busy working on the social order!

I’ve heard about group hugs before, but here’s a group activity merging Ridgeback wrestling with Azawakh biting!

Miss Daya practises on the bone, while Mr Shida asks to join her.

Daring Miss Uku tests her canine teeth on Mr Biyu!

She can’t win though, he’s way bigger than her, but she keeps trying nevertheless!

Mr Biyu is the confident sort that just goes his own way and doesn’t wait for the others.

He has a favorite spot, under the water bowl.

It’s tricky getting to it, but it’s oh-so-worth the effort.

…and it never takes long before the others join him.

The two brothers Mr Biyu (left) and Mr Bakwai (right) have grown to be the biggest of the litter and I think they have plans of keeping it that way. Mr Bakwai is taking on a most serious ridgeback look, and I told you he meant to be reckoned with! Those paws mean business and I would not be surprised if he grows to be bigger than both his parents.

The females are smaller, but growing into lovely ladies, each with their own characteristics!

Meals are a major activity, and the puppies have figured out that their friend Badamasi equals mealtimes!

Tabita loves to help him out, and is a regular at the Eden Office these days…

I need not worry that the puppies don’t get enough human affection!

Mealtimes consist of a protein-rich mixture of sorghum porridge, rice, minced meat (raw), egg yokes.

It’s almost as tasty as Sheba’s milk!

I love the red ones who have half their tails black. Looks like they’ve been dipped in paint!
Esther, they are just too cute, I love the one with the dark Ridge Back stripe. Their legs have stretched since last week.
I think I’m in love with Mr Biyu.
It’s so fun to watch all the puppies grow in size and personality. I like Miss Uku best.
Miss Uku is tugging my heartstrings too. I love puppies!
They look so healthy and strong! You must be so excited to see them…
They just keep getting cuter and cuter. Miss Uka is quite a spunky gal!
Hi Esther, Mr Shida is still my favorite - I love his coloring. However, I think Mr Biyu might be very smart! The pups look like they’re getting plenty of socializing, too.
Everyday they get more and more beautiful. Are you going to have fun when you get home….
Every single pup is just gorgeous!
They’re all so cute. Great photos!
They are getting so big and oh so adorable.
Hope you keep Mr Shida, he’s special…
So pretty and cute!
So adorable… I’ll adopt Miss Uku !
Awww, Esther, they are BEAUTIFUL. The bowls lined up on the wall, remind me of the Seven Dwarves. Too cute how they cotton onto the one who feeds… Little Tabita will ensure the pups get enough affection. I would watch pups all day without doing a stitch of work! Has Sheba weaned them yet? (((Hugs))) Jo xxxxxxx for pups + X for Sheba.
Hi Esther, ooh, how adorable! They’re all growing up to be totally gorgeous puppies - and isn’t it fun to see how different their personalities are? Our humans still get amazed that we’re brothers as we’re like chalk and cheese! We adore all the photos but that first one of Miss Uku with her bone has really stolen our hearts!
Schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.
mr biyu is my favorite
they are big and I see some real pronounced ridges
They are all VERY cool + cute looking pups! Who has the “ridge” from Sheba? Knowing very little about dogs I saw the scary BBC show about dog pedigree breeding where RR were mentioned a while ago. Later I heard there is a special ridge gene, found by Swedish researchers. This was also correlated to the DS condition in dogs. You probably knew all this… (cf. http://ex-epsilon.slu.se/archive/00002506/01/Kandidatuppsats_Ingrid_Bergman.pdf)
