Esther - thank you so much for sharing your experiences. Your Piroplasmosis story has been so very helpful to me. I am creating a documentary about my former employer who imported Arabian horses from Egypt in the late 60’s early 70’s. Two of his horses were tested positive for Piro and given over doses of the treatment. One died the other barely survived. Your article has helped me to understand the complexity of the situation. Would it be possible to use your photo of the syringe in my educational tribute to my former employer. It will appear on our website which is under construction and be made available to whoever cares to visit. Nothing being sold. I would gladly give you and your website proper credit. Thank you again for sharing.

This is a great education, seeing what it’s like to live with many animals. It’s like having a houseful of kids…one minute they’re yelling and running around, the next they’re feverish and listless. It’s always such a concern when they get sick, even if it’s “only” parasites or the common cold. Take care your own self…

Oh Esther, I’m SO sorry you’re having all these problems at the moment. I’m pleased you’re almost “on top of it all” with the horses and Denis’ illnesses and wait to hear an update. I’ll be doing a similar post on Sunday about one of my cat’s who gives the least trouble, yet now has contracted kidney and liver disfunction. Hugs from Jo, South Africa.
