Whenever things get rough or crisis occurs, I evaluate the things in life that really matter. Family is one, faith is another. The beloved animals and the endless expanse of the beautiful Zinder bush are some of the highlights that make my everyday life so rich. But at the end of the day, the achievements of Eden in the Tanout region are what makes me want to go on regardless of what.
Ten years ago, I never thought I would come to see a population rise out of total poverty. I never thought that Africa would one day find back to its original path, yet in Edenland, I see an unspoiled population that has taken the Lost Treasures of Eden with its two hands - as the saying here goes for holding on to something precious. And they are not letting go. Not only are they finding their way to a sustainable life, independent of outside aid, but they are also finding back to their roots - to their rich cultural heritage and unique way of life that was once lost.
At the end of the day, the Eden children leading rich and meaningful lives in the least developed area in the world are my inspiration.

Esther, you are part of an amazing foundation. It has to be gratifying to help people help themselves and see the rich results.
Definitely honoured to know someone who makes such a difference even if I don’t ‘know’ them!
Thanks again for all you do!
I’m pretty sure you’re as inspiring as you are inspired. You inspire me… and I’m practically uninspirable.
You are doing such good work there in Niger. I hope this knowledge of growing edible trees and shrubs continue to spread throughout Niger.
I’m inspired by you and your family!
Esther: The legacy of the children is so important.
