@ J: actually, the Arab name of this feast is “Eid al Adha”, or “Eid al Kabir”, and it is not the only “Eid” in Muslim religious calendar. This one is the feast of the sacrifice of the ram.

Is this anything to do with Eid? I might go and do some research instead of lazily asking, I’m just curious after being sent a lovely Eid related photo around this time last year of my then boyfriend (who was Egyptian) slitting the throat of a sheep.
