My dad is back in the country and we are once again ambling across the endless Zinder bush…

Our last outing this past weekend took us to unknown territory, which we had never covered by horse before.

I love our rides!

There is so much life quality involved when you get to spend hours in the beautiful outdoors, enjoying the never-ending scenery from the height of a hard-working ambling horse.

There’s so much to talk about and so much to enjoy.

Time passes quickly, but in such a subtle way that it feels as if it stands still.

You ride, and you talk. You watch, and you enjoy. It’s all one collection of quality moments.

Surrounded by the beautiful bush, the sun puts on a brilliant display which changes by the minute. I’m always amazed at how the passing of the sun always has a unique touch - a particular version that I’ve never seen before.

I never cease to enjoy the sunset.

Even as the sun goes down, the light stays with us. Darkness hits a few kilometers from the city, but the light of the stars stay with us and the horses know their way.
I love our rides in the bush!

Beautiful! I love reading about your adventures. What a great way to spend time with your Dad. I can almost feel the warmth from the Bush, which is much appreciated. It is snowy and cold here.

I am so glad your father is with you Esther to enjoy the togetherness and the splendour of the sky and indeed it is a most splendid sky!
No doubt about talking, riding and that feeling of peace that comes over you. I get that when I ride the trails here in Texas, over half a world away! Don’t you feel sorry for the folks who don’t ride and never get to experience that feeling?! I feel MOST sorry for the ones who WANT to ride (cause they know…) and don’t have the means or the opportunities. I’ve been there and it is it’s own kind of well, hell, for want of a better word! We are very lucky indeed.
