@Mojo: Maybe bush camels are more satisfied with their lives than other camels, as I have never met an ill-tempered camel in my life! They’re talkative and experts at expressing sorrow and longing.
In this part of the world, it is the donkeys who have the bad reputation, known as stubborn and surprisingly ill-tempered. I know many people who have been bucked off a young donkey stallion or bitten by a grumpy old donkey female. That said, when I meet them on horseback, they are always very well-mannered and of the curious kind.

Even the most ordinary day is remarkable in your world. Not many of us encounter a camel on a ride.
Wow, it’s true. Every post of yours is AMAZING. I love the way that your dad’s mount almost ignores the camel in the one photo. Brilliant Esther!
Amazing!!!! Now we meet lots of critters on our walks, but that is one big critter we don’t think we will ever run into.
Woos, Phantom and Thunder
Seems like such an unusual animal to see while out riding.
Well at least it ended peacefully. From what I’m told, camels can have a nasty temper.
And they spit!

I love the one photo where it seemed like the camel was walking along side your dad and his horse. Really cool!
