I love these little things. In Eastern and Southern Africa, the local people are frightened of them. Some even believe they are poisonous. I think it’s the eyes that are disconcerting to them.

I love visiting your site, brings back so many childhood memories like seeing my first Chameleon. You make Africa seem not so far away or long ago. Happy NY & WW

Are they feared in your area?
I was waiting for you to put another color next to it so we could see it change.
Neat! He looks like he has feet with little opposable thumbs to grab on to stuff!
How Cool! You must have pretty good eyes to spot him! Great capture!
“I’m having a bad hair day today,” Ms. Chameleon was about to grouch. Instead, she bit her tongue and…
…wait, wait. I can’t but share with you Matthew Bannister’s interview of “Donato Francisco Mattera the one time gang leader who turned to poetry and activism to become a celebrated figure in South Africa….url ”, the Bib aired while I was trying to think of something cute to say about Ms. Chameleon. I promise you 25 minutes of speechless awe.

He looks like he belongs in a salad. (Sorry, I saw snow peas…)
Your eyes must see as good as they look for you to spot this guy amid all that foliage. Great catch!
Happy WW!
Great shots of that awesome chameleon!
Wow … I have never seen a chameleon before. I would want to pick it up to see if it really changed color!
