Do you have an African Grey? I’ve always wanted one. They’re so smart. They don’t just mimic human speech, they can make real comments. Had friends with one that could fit it’s speech to actual events. When they were moving, it would say “Pack it up” every time my friend’s husband went by. They also have a long life span, so get one while you’re still young.
Aw, Jackie’s sweet, but very shy of people. She’s a bit of a heavy chicken compared to some of my mother’s “lighter” birds. She can fly, but reminds of a heavy helicopter - and watch out for those landings! She’ll take things from your hand (when she wants to) but always makes the “I’m so scared of you” noise. Things would have been different had my mother only had one parrot, but Jackie was the last addition and has never been lonely. She speaks African Grey, Owl, Starling, Human Whistle and a set of different noises, including the alarm of a car. Fortunately, she does not imitate phones or other “daily” things which I know some other West African Grays are known to do. Jackie is very clever at screwing up things (she LOVES electricity which is why she is confined to her cage when no one is looking), is cheeky towards the other birds (loves to give them a bite or two whenever she can) but then insist they give her a good scratch on the neck.

darling bird! Wild, or a pet?
It’s my mother’s parrot! Or she is… Her name is Jackie, but we have no idea really if it’s a he or a she.
A very mischievous bird who love to whistle!
Cute…is she wild??
